The name itself brings thoughts of bangles, bangles and bangles. So many of them that you would just want to treat yourself to a whole shining lot of them. Don't feel guilty: after all that's what the name Laad means, "Indulgence”
However, a seldom forgotten face is that, there are a lot more things one can stumble upon in this market of bangles, and these surely are quite indulging! So here's a list of top five things that you can find here...

Zari (Lace):
Just a few blocks away from the bangles shop, on the left you'll find a couple of zari shops selling laces. The price ranges from Rs 10 to Rs 500 (per nine metres), depending on the material used and the intricacy of the design.
2 Wooden items:
Further down the lane, there's a cluster of shops selling exquisite wooden items, ranging from walking sticks to cutlery. Prices of walking sticks, with beautiful interesting heads, start from Rs 200 and go till Rs 2,000, while the cutlery here is Rs 20 upwards. Look out for the antiques!

3 Metal works:
Even though there are not many shops selling these, one should not miss out peeping into the shop. Apart from the usual silverware, there are some really nice pieces that can give that extra touch to your living room. Among these are green-glass ashtrays with a silver lining, and glass and black-metal lamps.
4 Henna:
Heaps of light green powders welcome you, as the various henna shops in the laad bazaar vicinity sell the herbal mix to customers in branded and unbranded variants .
5 Blankets, etc:
Royal, with a capital R. That's what defines the drapes and blankets that these shops sell. Ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000, these are usually bought to adorn marriage celebrations . Among the specialities of these shops are designer machhardanis (mosquito repellent net). Although certain colour might make an interiors expert shake his head, the general collection is worth having a look at!
